Τα πρώτα θετικά σχόλια διαδέχθηκαν πιο ανάμεικτες αντιδράσεις.
Οι νέες αντιδράσεις για το Clayface της DC Studios μόλις κυκλοφόρησαν και όπως φαίνεται, η ταινία έχει αρχίσει να διχάζει τους κριτικούς.
Mετά τις πρώτες ιδιαίτερα θετικές εντυπώσεις της προηγούμενης εβδομάδας, πραγματοποιήθηκαν νέες δημοσιογραφικές προβολές, με τα σχόλια αυτή τη φορά να είναι αρκετά πιο ανάμεικτα.
Αρκετοί κριτικοί εξακολουθούν να ξεχωρίζουν τις ερμηνείες των πρωταγωνιστών, τα πρακτικά εφέ τρόμου και κυρίως τον τρόπο με τον οποίο παρουσιάζεται ο Matt Hagen, αφού η ταινία δεν διστάζει να αναδείξει τη σκοτεινή πλευρά του χαρακτήρα και να τον αντιμετωπίσει ως έναν πραγματικό κακό.
Ωστόσο, υπάρχουν και αρκετά αρνητικά σχόλια, με ορισμένους να εκφράζουν την απογοήτευσή τους για το σενάριο, τους διαλόγους και άλλες επιλογές της παραγωγής. Μάλιστα, κάποιοι προχώρησαν ακόμη και σε συγκρίσεις με το Morbius της Sony, κάτι που δείχνει ότι η ταινία δεν έχει καταφέρει να πείσει όλους όσοι την παρακολούθησαν.
Προς το παρόν, πάντως, πρόκειται για πρώτες εντυπώσεις, αφού οι ολοκληρωμένες κριτικές αναμένεται να δημοσιευτούν την Τετάρτη 21 Οκτωβρίου.

Just seen #Clayface could’ve been great but a weak villain with some Sony level dialogue and a bit of a by the numbers revenge plot hold it back. I don’t think it’s gonna be in the same conversation as Joker and Penguin but it’s easily my favourite DCU film so far. Tom Rhys Harries is excellent in it too and they have some outstanding makeup effects throughout. However, outside of him and Naomi Ackie there’s nothing here acting wise beyond what you’d get in a typical horror. The side characters were just lacking to me and it made me realise how much Thomas Wayne and Penny boosted up Joker. Plot wise I don’t think it reaches the heights of stuff like The Fly (which it cribs a lot from) but it’s held up by some great body horror and a really good lead performance. It’s worth seeing if you’re a comic book movie fan but I’m walking away from it a bit mixed.
